Hi,
Could you please evaluate my profile? (I am planning to apply next year (to start fall 2011)
Undergrad: Computer Science (72%, 15-20 rank Indian university)
Graduate: MS Computer Science (GPA 3.54, Top 10 US university)
GMAT: 770
Work Exp: Currently close to 2 years at a Fortune 3 energy company in US as Business Analyst (project management not IT related)
Current Extracurricular:
- Volunteer fire fighter for my county(might have some leadership role by march 2010)(close to a year)
- Volunteer at the city Zoo ( not a leadership position but I love working with the animals!)(2 months)
- Co-chair of my company's community service club (3 months)
School extracurricular:
- President of Association of Indian students at my grad univ (2 semesters)
- Awarded Teaching assistantship in the business school of my grad university (1 semester)
- Volunteer at a non profit involved in rehabilitating and interviewing Holocaust victims(1 year)
- Worked with a clean energy non profit during undergrad (leadership position for 1 year)
Post MBA: The 2 biggest energy company in US have a leadership development program that I am interested in. They hire MBAs from top 15-20 universities. Since I work for one of these companies, I will have a good chance of being recruited for the leadership program after I complete my MBA.
I am interested in applying to the following schools:
Wharton
Chicago
Columbia
Kellogg/Sloan
Yale
NYU/Cornell
Do you think I have a fair shot at these schools or am I overshooting? I don't really have a safety school in the list (maybe HBS?
)but I have my reasons for it.
I would definitely be taking help from an admission consultant for my application. What would be the best/earliest time to get the process stated if I consider mbaMission?
Thank you for your help!
