Hello,
I would like to apply to some top 30 MBA programs for Fall 2010 and have taken the GMAT three times:
The first time I got 700/Q47/V39/5.0 but I thought that I could improve with better preparation (used only OG11 and nothing else) and more sleep (nervousness and work stress kept me up the night before test). Also, I scored 750 on both GMATPrep attempts before the real thing!
The second time I was very well prepared but caught the flu three days before the test. I was still feeling horrible during the exam and could not focus so I quit about 20 minutues into the Quant section and went home. I would have definitely scored A LOT worse than 700 if I had stayed.
The third time I finally hit a home run and scored a 770/Q50/V45/5.0 due to much better preparation and focus.
Do I need to explain to adcoms what happened and my motivation for taking it again after getting a 700 on my first try? Is there any chance that I will be negatively impacted by multiple attempts?
Thanks,
SirTestaLot
