Hello all,
Using my newly acquired GMAT score, I have applied for a M.Acc program at a state university in my area. I'm an undergrad in business and am looking to expand my skill set and marketability in this tough job market.
I'm very committed to getting this M.Acc degree but I'm afraid of being "typecast" as an accountant for the rest of my life. I find general business fascinating and really enjoy all aspects of it, but an MBA right now won't help me much (I don't feel it would anyways.)
My plan is to get some experience under my belt and perhaps get an MBA further down the road. I definitely want an advanced degree in general business eventually. My question is: is getting an M.Acc degree and then following up (in 10+ years) with an MBA unheard of?
