Exam on 5th oct

Hi,

I have my exam on 5th Oct, but I am not getting a good score in my mocks till now. I gave the manhattan gmat mocks and have scored really low. I found their maths quite tough, is the actual gmat level also the same?

IMO manhattan gmat math questions are a bit tougher than the real gmat, but their scoring algorithm is actually quite good at approximating real score.


Have you taken practice tests using the actual gmat prept software from GMAC? without doubt, this will be the best indicator of your score range.

wwwaaoo!!!u got a 760....congrats...yeah i took gmat prep twice...got a 660 and 650...but im getting 590 510 in manhattan cat....and there is no specific area where im performing worse than the other....should i also take any other test?

the best tests to take are the Manhattan gmat and the gmat preptests. i agree that the quant is alot tougher to finish on the manhattan gmat than the actual test. the first 2 manhattan gmat tests i took i ran out of time, and had to guess on the last 5 or so questions.

Since your test is coming up in a week, I would recommend that you just stick to your gameplan. Review notes if you've been making any. Do 10 questions or so of quant and verbal to make sure you don't start forgetting information. Work on weak area every day or so up until the test.

It would be a good idea to take another practice test using the actual GMAT Prep software too. The actual question bank in that software is so huge that actual repeats are pretty negligible.
