Hi,

Please suggest target schools. I am thinking of applying to George Mason. Please advise if it is appropriate according to my profile and some other B-schools where i should apply.

I have a family business in India. Details of my profile:

Resident: Canada
Age: 24
Graduated in: Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering
GPA: 3.5
GMAT: 690 (Q-44, V-39)
Work ex-about 1.5 yrs

Work Experience: Joined my family business in 2008. Have exposures to real estate managing sales, purchase and leasing.

Short Term Interest: To get into a good B-school

Long Term Interest: Return to family business

Dear Manpreet,

I think George Mason is an appropriate choice for you and that you have a good chance of getting in there. Other programs that might be of interest would be ones with strong entrepreneurship and general management curricula since you will be returning to your family business. You should have a good chance if the GMAT average is below 680 and you submit a strong resume, well-written essays, and good recommendations. Perhaps look at Babson?
