score check please

Hi am a bit worried..had got a 660 on the gmat 3 months ago...gave it again and scored an exact 700( q 47, v 39)....should i retake the gmat to escalate my score to a 720 or 730...

have a strong profile but am an indian, 1 year IT and now career shift to marketing........


am worried..plz help?

Which schools are you thinking of applying? It's important to consider the average GMAT at each school in addition to how you compare to those in the applicant pool.

my targets are definitely the top 5 but would choose anywhere between 5-10..

i would like to apply to :

--> TOP 5 us

ALSO,,,ross,tuck,tepper(impt.),kellogg.

canada--Queens,richard ivey

europe- London B school n Insead...

India-ISB

aus--melbourne.

typically these..

plz help...

Hi,

I would strongly suggest retaking the GMAT, but only if you feel confident that you can indeed improve your score. I would look at your 700 as a neutral score, meaning it won't help your application and it won't likely hurt it either. The average GMAT at many of the schools you are considering applying is 720+.
