slope of line

Lines k and m are parallel to each other. Is the slope of line k positive?
1) Line k passes thro the point (3,2)
2) Line m passes thro the point (-3,2)

How exactly should we solve these problems?? Like, wht is the difference between parallel or perpendicular lines, how do you identify the slopes, etc..

If you dont know the difference between parallel and perpendicular lines you should start studying Geometry before trying these problems.
