I just didnt beat the gmat (660) need advice

Hi everyone this is my first post however I have been a long time reader of this site. I would like to thank everyone for their contributions I have found all of your help incredibly invaluable and I greatly appreciate it.
Last week after studying for about 3 months I took the test and my result was 660 (44Q, 38V). I spent significant time studying and I am at a bit of a loss as to where to go from here. I enrolled in Kaplan's program and bought MGMATs CATs. These as well as the CATs from gmatprep had me consistently scoring 660 to 700. So my score was really not a huge surprise however I had been scoring in the higher range of that with the gmatprep CATs. I also was performing better on the quant and not as well on the verbal so that was a slightly surprising result on my test day.

My strengths:
- CR and RC - I will rarely get even one of these type of questions wrong on CATs
- Geometry

My weaknesses:

- number properties
- equations, absolute values, inequalities
- ** advanced sentence correction (easy SC I have no problems with however the last 20 or so questions in the OGs statistically I actually score less than I would from just guessing and these are what I find on the CATs since I do rather well on other verbal questions)

I have 2 years before I plan on applying for an MBA and for the schools I wish to apply, 660 is just not going to cut it.
Can anyone recommend resources or offer advice for what I can do to improve my weaknesses and my score for next time? I have kept track of the questions I was getting wrong and I found in the last month of my studying I just wasnt improving at all (getting the same questions wrong, similar score result ect...)

Dude (or dudess)! All you need to break 700 is get like a 45/44 on Verbal. Right now your score is 44 on Quant. Keep doing what you are doing in Quant and FOCUS ON IMPROVING YOUR VERBAL!!

You already stated that you get an almost perfect hit rate on CR and RC. That means SC is what is killing you and that leads to the following questions

1. Are you a native English speaker?
2. Do you have the Manhattan SC book?
3. Do you read magazines such as The Economists/New York Times, Wall Street Journal?

Focus on items 2 and 3, keep up on posts in the SC part of this forum and you'll get >=45 on your Verbal. There's a lot of hope for you. You just need to recognize where to direct your energy!

Thank you for your suggestion I will look into the MGMAT SC. It gets fairly good reviews I believe.

Just to clarify my score was 43Q/38V for 660.

That means my scaled quant score, 43 is the 67th percentile, and my scaled verbal score, 38 is the 83rd percentile for an overall 660 or 82nd percentile.

I definitely know I need to improve my overall quant but I also think I can improve the only flaw in my verbal which is SC and which I have an exceptionally brutal record with.

I have just been very unsuccessful gaining any ground at all in my weakness areas in the last month.
