I am looking to apply to USC PM. Do you think I have a good probability of admission?

Program: avg GPA 3.18, GMAT 630, 80% range 570-700

My profile: GMAT 600 - 41Q, 31V, AWA 5

Undergrad - Big Ten University GPA: 3.66 Finance

4 yrs full time work exp. in finance
1st 2yrs work in a competitive management training program at a Fortune 5 company. 2nd 2 yrs in same company after program completion.

I do think you have a good shot at USC PM based on the information posted. You will want to have a good set of essays, recommendations and interview to have the best chance for admission. If you haven't already, you will also want to visit campus so you can provide thoughtful insights in your essays on why USC.

Thanks for your quick feedback. Do you think my undergrad gpa helps to mitigate my lower than avg gmat for USC? Do you think I should retake the gmat as it is in the lower 80% range, or just focus on putting together solid essays? I plan to apply right when the 1st round opens and I know USC reviews applicants on a rolling basis. I also started 2 student organizations in undergrad which have both become very successful and I am a team lead for a community service group in LA.

Yes, your GPA will mitigate the below average GMAT score. However, your GMAT is not a bad score relative to the program average. At this point, your essays should take precedent over a GMAT retake. If you think you can retake the GMAT and raise your score, without sacrificing the quality of your essays, then it might be worth it. But I think you do have a good chance with your current score if your essays, recommendation and interview are strong.
