Any guess as to the score?

by kelsi111 » Thu Sep 03, 2009 11:35 am
I have a McGraw Hill GMAT book, but not the CD. I took the paper exam and got 26/37 Q and 35/41 V. Mostly I missed the hard questions, but it wasn't progressive as it was just from the book. Any guess as to what that score would equate to? Since it wasn't CAT I know that it's hard to tell, but a ball part guess would be nice so that I have an idea of my starting point.

In Q I missed mostly DS and had a few 'dumb' errors.
In the V I missed a couple SC and a couple Reading Comprehension.

Either way I know what to work on, but as I said, it would be nice to have an idea of my baseline score before I started to study.

Thanks :)

It's harder to estimate for quant, but for verbal I'd say 40 or high 30s. For quant, maybe something like 47? I can't tell - remember, this is all speculation. I'd say your best bet is to take a CAT - you'll find free ones on sites of major companies - Manhattan GMAT, Veritas, Knewton...
