using the first 6 integers that is 1,2,3,4,5,6 .. 8 can be formed in 5 ways that is 2+6,3+5,4+4,5+3,6+2 .. So in all there are 5 possibilities .. out of these 5 possibilities 5 figures in 2 of them 3+5,5+3 .. that is the first card is 3 or 5 and correspondingly the second card is 5 or 3 .. so there are 2 ways in which 5 can figure in the 2 cards .. so the probability is 2/5 .. hope this helps ..magical cook wrote:Hi, Can anyone help?
