Please evaluate my profile

Hello Amy/Stacy,

Here is my profile:
* Indian, Female 25.
* GMAT-730(M-49, V41, AWA-5.5)

Career Graph
------------------------
* 2 years of experiece in IT with finance(retail banking)
* 1.5 years IT finance(Investment banking)
* 6 month presales work.

Academics
---------------
* Graduated in 2004 from NIT- 77% (9th position in class)
* 18th state rank holder in High School.

Awrads, Community Service and Extra-Curricular
----------------------------------------------------------
* Awarded for best paper presentation for three consecutive years in National level Tech Seminars.
* Cleared National Certification of Financial Amrkets by NSE and Certification in Banking by Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
* Won a couple of state debating and essay contests in school and college.
* Active member of some social work clubs since school. Presently working with an NGO for children.
* Conducted 3 painting exhibitions till date of which one is solo.
* Organised cultural programs in school and college. Part of the cultural group in my company.
* Editor of a magazine in college and a an active writter for the newsletter in the company.

I am as of now considering Wharton, LBS, UCLA, Cornell, UNC, Duke, Tuck and ISB. Please evaluate my current profile and suggest what is my chance of getting into any of these schools. Also please advise whether i should apply to any other university to be on the safe side or universities that would be apt for my profile..

Hi Vision611,

You have a nice array of schools to target, which is a good idea. I think your academics are strong, but your work experience is fairly typical. Have you done anything international? Do you have a leadership position with the NGO?

I would focus on highlighting any significant leadership positions, whether work or volunteer, to show your management potential. Work on your goals and how to communicate them effectively. Why MBA will also be an important question to answer.
