Ok, so here each term is twice the previous one .. so what does that mean ..

Well it means a2= 2*a1, a3=2*a2,a4=2*a3,a5=2*a4 ..

Now, we have a5-a2=12 but a5=2*a4.. so that would mean 2*a4-a2=12 , again a4=2*a3 .. so the equation changes to 2*(2*a3)-a2=12 .. again a3=2*a2 so .. we have 2*(2*(2*a2)) - a2 =12 .. which is equal to 8a2-a2=12 ..

So , 7a2=12 .. therefore a2= 12/7 . but again a2 = 2*a1 that is 12/7 = 2*a1 .. and that means a1 = 6/7 .. simple ..right ? :D
