Could some one please tell me how many questions related to P and C do appear in GMAt ?
I am planning to leave this topic untouched for my preperation. do you think i can still do well in the maths section without this?
you can probably still do alright...

first, it depends on score you are shooting for. if 650 or better, you cannot leave P and C alone.

second, remember its CAT.You get rewarded(categorized in higher gmat percentile) for problems you get that no one else gets. Also, you get rewarded with harder problems as you nail all the problems. So if you are doing well, P and C will be bound to show up.

third, the GMAT is comprehensive, which means each problems is a combination of problems. They are testing multiple things at once, not just one. So a P and C problem, unbundled is actually a ratio problem, or probability problems. So good preparation for a good score means you have done some work on P and C.

start with search in beat the gmat search box. punch in permutation/combination. a listing of related subjects and previous posts will come up.

Good luck!
