MGMAT SC Guide states that sometimes JUST AS appears without SO. So confused a bit when I saw B & C.

Also, is usage of WHO in B correct?

I dont see parallelism error. Here two nouns are compared. One is 'archaeologist' & other is 'nautical archaeologist'. The first noun can have a modifer by itself and such modifier need not be there after second noun.

Experts pls clarify if there is any grammatical error in B or if I am missing something. Tx much.

I am not so good at explanation, but I can explain the way through which I got the right answer.
A is of course wrong as it has an issue of parallelism.
B --> I thought this seems wrong because in first half, it says that Just as an archaeologist who needs. This "who" word bothered me a bit because it doesnt clarify that all the archaeologists need background etc or some of them need. However second half shows that all the natural archaeologists need blah blah blah. So it was kind of vauge for me.
C--> This resolved the confusion which B had. It kinda shows that any archaelogist needs x and just like that any natural architect needs y.
D --> Like is not preferred by GMAT.
E --> Parallelism issue.

Let me know if I was not clear in explaining any point.

If who is the only issue, ignoring who, is Just as.....without SO correct in choice B?
