Hi Lisa
First of all my heartfelt thanks to you people as you are doing an excellent work of helping lots of folks like me. Let me give a quick intro about myself.
About Me:
I've done my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (a 4-year course) (graduated in 2003) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (one of the top-notch Engineering Schools of India). However, my (cumulative) GPA was 6/10 (2.4/4.0). The only face-saving part from my school is that my final year GPA was (3.3/4.0). After my Bachelors, I started working in the software industry with about 3 years of experience in India and 3 years of experience in the US working for companies like Motorola, Nortel and Juniper Networks.
I'm very scared of the amount of negative impact my very-low GPA would have on the prospects of me getting an admit to good school.
Could you please help me with suggestions as to how I can minimize the effect of this low undergrad GPA? What are the possible options I can explore and which schools can I target with this background?
Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking time and reading out.
Thank You
Chandrakiran
