I think D is the answer.

"has...grown a market"....has is appropriate here...

'booming market for "reality" television shows' the part from "for...shows" is really qualifying booming market...and is thus refers to market

This is a very good question to test the concept of S-V agreement. But unfortunately there are some demerits which I would state at the end of this Question.

There are two subjects in this sentence.
1. "the public's interest"(singular)in red and its corresponding verb(which needs to be singular=>HAS)

2. We must understand the meaning of the sentence. it is the Television Shows which is Bringing people and not the MARKET
Now having realized that, the second subject is Bold and its corresponding verb has to beplural. However, the ambiguity in this question is that, the word "that" seems to modify market instead of TV shows. And thats how I feel KAPLAN 800 is a waste of time

D does that job well. Although, not the best. But rest are even worse.

My dear, the Question is from KAPLAN-800 and so it is quiet obvious that you will find ambiguity in answers and explanations.To me, it is the worst book I have ever purchased.Simply a waste of money and time:oops:

Whenever I find any ambiguous question, I go through my KAPLAN book and usually I find that question

I also feel that Kaplan 800 is wrong in saying that 'that' is referring to market, but, at the same time, I am not very convinced with "Television shows" is singular.

Which one is correct:
1. Television shows are bringing regular people
2. Television shows is bringing regular people

i totally agree with karamyogi "telivision shows" is clarly plural.

Kaplan 800..is an excellent book to grasp concepts of sc, good standard of CRS AND RCS...also good data sufficiency stuff!
