IMO-E
For correct s+v agreement 'Remains' will be the correct choice.
So left with choice C & E.Now we are comparing the 'market of recycled commodities' with the 'market of commodities of aluminium & other materials'.in E-like the commodities of aluminum and other metals, referring to the market that remains strong!!!!!!
Correct me anyone if I am conceptually wrong.

C is about right :)

E is too redundant and messes up the meaning of the sentence.

commodities, like the commodities of aluminum and other metals, remains

Commodities is over used and of aluminum and other metals implies we are talking about commodities made from aluminum and other metals instead of the commodities aluminum and other metals.
