Is m>0?

Is m>0?
1. m^2/-3 <0
2. (-m)(-5) >0

Stmt 1..m^2/-3 <0
m^2<0...this is only possible when m is a fraction.Therefore suff.

stmt 2.. 5m>0. So m>0 . Suff.

Where did I go wrong guys?

One equivalently says m^2>0 by cross multiplying with -3
but m^2>0 for any non zero item...so nothing for sure....and hence only 2 is sufficient...

I think you got confused with M^2 < 1 if M is a fraction such that
-1< M < 1...

M^2 will never be less than zero. The only thing the first statement says is that M^2 > 0...which means M can be anything except for zero.

Hope this clears the confusion.
