Say we're down to 3 minutes left and 7 questions to go, is there any strategic difference between trying to read some questions and actually choose what sounds okay vs. just blindly choosing all C or something?

If it had been 6 Qs in 7 minutes, I would have chosen wisely where to take the wild guess and where to take educated guess.

But 7Qs in 3 mins, never allow yourself to get into that mode, dude!
That means you have spent more time than required on quite a few questions!

Yes, the best advice is to avoid finding yourself in that situation to begin with. Rather than running out of time with six questions left, practice your pacing and speed up over the rest of the test. Take guesses on super hard questions earlier on in the section to save yourself time for the (theoretically) easier questions that you're going to see at the end.

That said, if you are running out of time, of course it's best to at least take an educated guess. Just don't run out of time before you answer the last question - blanks are heavily penalized.
