Q: The equilateral triangle has a perimeter of 18 inches and is surrounded by a border √3 inches thick. what is the area of the border?

border is of √3 inches or 3 inches??pls check

Area is [Root(3)/4][(side2)^2-(side1)^2]

The border is root 3. But I didnt get the calculation part...

Can you please explain it in detail

q a terminating decimal?

Can you tell me.. how did you manage to draw the triangles, circles etc.. can you tell me the software which you used...

I'm using Photoshop CS2, I'm sure there are more programs out there that can do the same thing, I'm just using Photoshop coz I have it installed in my PC
