A set has 16 numbers. If a number is three times the average of the other 15 numbers, the number is what fraction of the sum of the total numbers?

1/3
1/4
1/5
3/8

i also got 1/6... for example lets get 45 as a and the avg of 15 numbers as 15.... 45/270 is equal to 1/6....

I also got 1/6.

If the average is x, the sum for the first 15 numbers is 15x

Total for the 16th number is 3x

15x + 3x = 18x

3x/18x = 1/6

Are we missing something?
