need help with a gmat score when applying to top b-school

will a school mind if someone scores a 640 and then scores a 470. do schools really take the highest score or will I need to explain my subsequent lower score. ?

Hi,

Bschools will take your highest score, so they will be looking at your 640. Most applications ask for a self reported score and you then follow up later with your official score report. If you opted not to report your score then the schools won't know about your lower score until you have sent them your score report.
