GPA

by ClaudioChileno » Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:22 am
Hello,
I have a question regarding GPA

I Graduated from XXX university with a GPA of 3.55 but I did my freshman year at YYY university where for that one 1 I got a gpa of 3.2.
My transcript from the XXX university only has my 3.55 GPA not including my freshman year courses.
What GPA do I report to Business School? the 3.55 or do I include the freshman classes that do not appear in my transcript. I also do not know how I would combine the grades from each school because the credit system was different. At XXX each class was 4 credits and at YYY each class was 3 credits, and so in one semester I would take more classes at YYY.

Thank you
Regards

Claudio

Dear Claudio,

It is acceptable to report the cumulative GPA on the transcript from the university you graduated from, XXX. You can try to calculate a combined GPA on your own, but I suggest reporting the 3.55 that is on your XXX transcript so that your reported GPA matches your transcript.

Good luck,
Lisa

Thank you very much Lisa..
Do you know if I would have to send the transcript from school YYY (the school I attended freshman year)?

Thank you
