MSc in Int'l Business or MBA -Int'l B.....

I have one year work experience as Assistant to MD in an organisation located in Mumbai, India.
Recently, I went to the overseas education consultancy, there the consultant told me that you don't need to appear for GMAT or IELTS (I am planning for MBA degree from UK or Australia) and she told me to do MSc -Int'l Business rather than doing MBA as MBA is for older people (one having 5 to 6 yrs of experience) and Msc is for fresher's.

What is difference between MSc or MBA ? Like how they are different in curriculum wise? Are the course curriculum of both same?
If I come back to India with Msc -Int'l Business degree, what are my job prospects?
Is Msc degree at par to that of MBA? How do one differentiate between both?

Master of Science (MS) degrees are usually shorter than MBA degrees in terms of the number of credits/hours required. Also, a MS degree is specialized in that discipline whereas a MBA degree has a general business core curriculum and then electives to gain additional coursework in a specific discipline (i.e., accounting, finance, marketing, etc.). Also, the average age in MS programs is usually younger than MBA (but there is variance there based on the program). With only one year of experience, you would be on the low end for MBA programs where the preference is at least two years of experience. If you know you want to be in a particular field, then the MS program could be a great option for you. But, if you want a general business foundation with some coursework in 1-2 disciplines, then the MBA is the appropriate degree. A MS in business is not equivalent to a MBA, but that doesn't mean it is not a great option for many people.

In terms of job prospects, it is hard to say since I'm not as familiar with the job market in India. Much of the success of a job search depends on you and your efforts, so I think you will determine how successful you are in finding a job after completing a graduate degree.
