need advice...

by RLRR » Fri Jun 26, 2009 7:53 am
Hello,

I just took the GMAT for the second time and scored even lower than the first time!!! To add insult to injury, I actually studied harder for the second test. I've decided that if I give it another try I need a better, more effective game plan. So, my questions are:

(1) Should I enroll in a prep course or obtain a tutor? I feel a tutor might be more useful at this point. However, I do have a BIG issue with test time anxiety....not sure how to combat this?
(1a) If I get tutor/prep test - which one is the most effective and are there any tutors in the Northern VA area?

(2) What is a good strategy for say 6 - 8 months out?
(2a) For example, if I do 2 hrs/day, how do I break up the sections? How often do I take practice tests? How do you review? what is a good plan? aRRGGHH!!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If money isn't a problem, then obviously a tutor will work best. They will be able to tailor the sessions specifically for you.

I tried to find one on craigslist for my area but was unsuccessful. Although, princeton review has some stuff around here but it's out of this world expensive.
