10^8 – 10^2 = 10^2*(10^6-1)

10^7 – 10^3 = 10^3*(10^4-1)

notice that (10^6-1) and (10^4-1) is 10^6 and 10^4 b/c subtracting 1 is trivial.

dividing will give you 10^2/10 = 10.
