Guide me for selecting GMAT date!!!!!!!!!

When is the best time to appear for GMAT (in which month)?
I have appeared for GMAT last december (dec '08), I scored 630 which I feel is not sufficient to get me in good business school & this year I am appearing again i.e on 28th december '09 and aiming 700+ ( as my overall academic record is around 52%).
To brief about me little bit, I am working professional (assisant to MD) with one year experience in Mumbai, India.

I am aiming to enroll myself in Sept '2010 batch (MBA-IB) in Australian business school. I will appear for IELTS in Jan '2010.

Do you think, I would be left with lot of months in my hand to apply, getting processed my application from the B-school, getting an admit card and than applying for visa and then getting visa (that too for Australia, as i heard Australian visa officers are tough to face)?

If I start applying from 1st week of Feb '2010, will I get admission for Sept 2010?

Dear shweta172,

I think it is always best to apply early, so I think your plan puts your application in on the tail end of the applications. If I were you, I would move things up so that you could submit your application by November/early December.
