usage of each

by gmatjem » Wed Jun 17, 2009 6:14 am
Under the restructuring, the huge organization that operates the company’s basic businesses will be divided into five groups, each with its own executive.

(A) each with its own executive
(B) all having their own executive
(C) each having their own executive
(D) with its own executive for each
(E) every one with an executive of their own

Slight confusion on this question. I know that we need to use singular with "each" when its a subject.

e.g : Each of this cars is nice to drive

Also need to use plural when "each" follows plural subject

e.g :They each are driving nice cars.

But in the given question, Each is following "five groups" , then how come we go for A but not C ? Please clarify
