y+|y|=0
Think about this question for a moment:

In order for y+|y| to equal 0, y must be negative. There is no way in which y can be positive in order to satisfy the equation y+|y|=0. Now let's say y=-1:

-1+|-1|=-1+1=0

If you use other negative numbers less than -1, you'll also get 0, so y has to be less than or equal to 0.
