Number of SC Questions in verbal section

Does anyone know the average number of SC questions in the verbal section?

Normally on an average we get 12 SC questions in verbal section

I just recently took GMAT Prep 1 from MBA.com and I had 17 SC, 12 CR, 12 RC - is it random which question types are weighted more heavily?
