Hello,
I am getting married before I attend bschool next year. If I check the married box in the application to bschool would this have a negative effect on my chances to get into the school?

The answer to your question is 'no'. Being married will not have a negative impact on your MBA applications. In fact, if your spouse intends to relocate with you, he or she may be interested in joining the 'Partners Club' at your target school, and could ultimately contribute to campus life. This is something you might consider mentioning in your essays or interviews (albeit in brief, and in the appropriate manner) as it could work as an extra element in your profile.
