In a certain election, 240 men and 280 women voted for the winning candinate. what was the total number of men and women who voted in the election?

1. The number of women who voted was 7/8 then number of men who voted.

2. Of the men and women who voted, 30 percent of the men and 40 percent of the women voted for the winning candinate


Answer is B

Answer A does not provides enough data linking votes to winning votes.
Answer B does, and both for men and women.
