- GMAT Score:630
Hello All. Yesterday was my d-day for the GMAT. I prepped for about 1 month studying about 10 hours a week. Unfortunately my life and work schedule isn’t conducive of a study schedule that the GMAT requires. My target score was 650+. This was being achieved on all my prep and all GMAT prep exams with a score of 700 and 710 on the GMAT Prep on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
In sitting the exam today, I think my major downfall was that I scheduled my test at 11:00AM and didn't have make time to eat lunch before or during my exam breaks. Breakfast at 8:00AM consisted of a couple slices of toast on my way to taking care of work issues before my exam. The lack of food coupled with a 5 hour energy shot for an extra "boost" led me to have uncontrollable cold-sweats and shakes starting at about question 5 on my verbal section and lasting the duration of the remainder of the exam. I had to get up and leave to the restroom to try and cool off and get my head back into it. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my head back into comprehending what I was doing.
Ended the day with a 630(47Q 30V). Not too disappointed as I really only need a 600 for my program but needless to say, I wish I knew that I was 100% during the test. I guess I will never know what could have been.
Oh well. Just wanted to thank everyone for their help around here. I can say that the GMAT is by far one of the most mentally tasking four hours, especially when you feel like your going to yak the second half
