I am a science graduate from Delhi University with 58.7% in India and holds a 3 years part time PGDBA (Marketing & Human Resources) with +65 % along with a Distance Learning Masters in HRM (2- year Program) with + 65%. I am having 3.5 years work experience of working in recruitment consultancy. I took my GMAT in March but secured only 560 marks. Though I have taken another appointment in June and will also be appearing for my IELTS in June. I would like to know if I manage to secure over 650 marks in GMAT attempt with over 6 – 7 in IELTS what would be my chances of getting admission in any of a good B – School in UK or Europe for the session 2009 – 2010 starting in October. I want to pursue my MBA with specialization in Human Resources. Looking forward to your guidance regarding the same.

Dear Shifali,

You will need to score at least a 650 on the GMAT to be competitive for EU schools. If you can get closer to a 700, that would be best. In addition to a good GMAT, you will also need to present an overall strong and compelling application.

Good luck,
Lisa
