Doesn't the question mention that as per recipe Malik needed 1.5 cup pasta to prepare for 4 servings?

Hence, next time around he will need-
4 servings ---> 1.5 cup pasta
2 servings ---> (2 * 1.5) / 4 = 3/4

Kanha81, the question does not say that Malik prepared 4 servings last time. All it says is Malik requires 1.5 cups to prepare 4 servings. It is like saying 'it requires 2 eggs to prepare a spanish omlette' but it does not say I cooked only 1 omlette, I might have cooked 2 omlettes
