Two weeks till GMAT - what Math should I study ?

I just scored a 680 practice today (44Q, 38 V) after doing nothing but math studying for a little under a month. My verbal isn't going anywhere, so I might as well focus all my energy on Quant from here on out.

I own all five Manhattan GMAT Quant guides, flashcards, and the OG. What books should I review mostly during these last two weeks? For instance, would it be most prudent to focus on Number Properties and Word Translations mostly, while reviewing FDP's, etc. on the side? I'm looking for that one little boost that will get me over the 700 hump. I know that the only thing that is stopping me is the Quant section so I really know what I want.

Any help would be appreciated, especially if you happen to be a MGMAT instructor

Hi Ladistar!

Well done on your practise test! I assume that was the blue CAT from mba.com? Which OG do you own? I hear the new addition has some fresh questions you could try? Also Kaplan 800 might be good for some additonal practise. Also, I think the majority of the questions in Quant are focused on number properties, FDP, word translations and VICs. Should focus hard on those. Permutations and Combinations only appear in 1 or max 2 questions!

I took a Manhattan GMAT prep test, but the next one I take will be a GMATprep. Right now I own the 12th Edition (bought it four weeks ago). I'm about half-way through the math section right now, so I hope to finish that up by tuesday or so.

Do you think I should go out and buy the Official Quant Supplement? Or should I stick with what I have now?

you should have definately bought the OG Quant book too and maybe even the verbal book for improvement.

Hey dude,

Just stick what what you have for the moment. I havent actually got the 12 addition, but if its anything like the 11th edition (OG11), which is what I have, there are many questions to practise. For now stick with that, if you really run out then might be an idea to buy the Quant supplement. I am in London, if you are here you could always borrow mine! I am not actually using it at the moment.

Just curious, have you got a Quant background? I think mastery is what you should aim for. Quality over quantity. Are you comfortable in answering any one of the OG12 questions in 2 mins. Thats the level to be at I think.

I think OG is the best source and the closest to the real thing. That, in addition with the GMAT Prep software should be enough!
