Profile Evaluation

Hi,

Thanks for taking time out to read my query.

Profile: 29 Non IT Indian Female.

Work Ex : 6.5 yrs in Soft Skills learning and development in IT organizations, all big names.
I've led some project teams but never had direct reports. Have worked on various high impact and visibility projects.
International Exposure: Trained international audience, worked/led various projects in virtual teams.
Education : Masters in Computers Management with 69%.
GMAT : 600 V28 Q48 AWA5.5
Extracurriculars: Quite good, in core team of CSR

The schools I'm aiming for are IMD, INSEAD and HEC for Jan '10. May apply to Melbourne Business School and AGSM, Sydney.
The biggest low side is my GMAT. Even if I retake, not expecting it to go very high, the prep tests land me at 640 currently.
The questions I have are - Is it possible to cover up for GMAT and get adcom to look at my application? What are chances in the schools I'm aiming at?

Dear Shina,

I think the GMAT will be an obstacle for you, even if the rest of your application is outstanding. In your situation, developing a relationship with an admissions professional in your target schools can be helpful. If you can build a good rapport and give your application a "life" as opposed to the school only knowing what is on paper, then you might have a shot.

Thank you Lisa, could you tell me more about how to build rapport with the admission professional in target schools?
