Profile Evaluation

by krish79 » Sat Apr 11, 2009 11:17 am
Hi,
I took my gmat for the third time and my score was 650. My Verbal is 35 (74%) and Quants is 44 (70%). AWA is 5.5. My previous two attempts were 640 and 630 respectively. I have about 9 years of experience in Software Consulting with about 4.5 years of international Experience. I also have a Project Manegement Professional (PMP) from the PMI Institute.

What universities would yoru recommend considering the score and the experience. I was thinking ISB, INSEAD, IE, IMD. Also part time interests in Chicago GSB and Kellogg.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
Krish

Dear Krish,

It is possible you might gain admission to the schools you list with your current profile. However, these are all schools with GMAT averages greater than a 650. Since your professional experience is extremely common in the MBA applicant pool, it is important that you are able to stand out in other ways. Likewise, you will need to find a way to distinguish yourself from the other applicants with similar profiles. I would suggest adding some schools to your list with GMAT averages in the 600-650 range that will also prepare you for your desired post-MBA career.

Good luck,
Lisa

Thanks Lisa for your tips. Can you suggest possible good schools with GMAT Averages of 600-650 considering my experience. I would prefer with a good ROI esp. with the current economic conditions. Thanks again for your suggestions and time.
