Ugly experience.
I've dedicated all my time and effort to study for the GMAT,
had about 6-7 prep books, bought 10 exams, bundle Focus..
and my average score was around 680-90, which was sufficient for me.
The day of my examination, when I was half way through my quantitative,
oddly, I was struck by the noise coming from the construction from the floor
just on top of the office! It was so annoying and consistently loud.
I finished my quantitative section and went to the break where I saw the manager,
she told me she tried to speak to them, had some problems with them,
they stopped for a couple of minutes and then resumed.
She told me to write to Pearson about it and she'll support me.
I decided to try to continue the exam, maybe they will stop at some point.
That wasn't the case. During verbal I had to read every sentence/text about 3-4-5 times
to understand it well, every time I would loose sight of the main point..
Verbal is my thing, my average is around 40..
I rushed through the end and pressed on finished.. I had a 590 (Q44,V... 28!)
It's unbelievable, and the thing is im applying for a master for next fall,
deadlines are approaching, one of them is in 21 days.
Gmat takes 20 days to get there..
I emailed Pearson and Im still waiting for a reply,
Called them and they told me I should wait for the email,
but they also said that I couldn't take the exam again before 30 days have passed!
Did this situation occur to someone else? were they able to take the exam in less than the normal period?
I feel devastated, Gmat, especially verbal, needs concentration.
It's unfair for me to be judged that way. I don't really know what to do.
