hi all,
the reason i am writing this is because I had been studying for the gmats for several months and i constantly used this forum so i told myself that if i do well i would give something back. I was naturally good at math, so naturally i did many math problems over the last few months and overlooked my weakness in the verbal sections.
NOT SMART...
though people say that quant is the most important section this is definitely not tru.
the first time i took the gmat i got a 50 on quant and a 29 on verbal only a 660.
i was shocked, i nearly perfected the quant and didnt break 700.
so i put down my math books and bought two verbal books.
Manhattan gmat sent. correction book --> read this at least 4 times, seriously everytime you read it you will learn something new.
Kaplan verbal --> overall review of verbal, i simply used their RC section advice, very helpful.
if you read these two books you will surely improve your RC and SC scores. I never had any problems with CR but i hope this helps some people.
as a side note, if you took the gmat and feel like you didnt get the score you wanted, study harder and take it again. i know many people who took the test 2-3 times until they broke 700. dont stop till you get the score you want.
thats my 2 cents, hope it helps!!!!
