Hi,
Following my post on my scores Q40,V26. I need to improve on verbal and take my quantitative scores also up. Q40->Q50 and V26->V45+.
I need tips to improve on verbal.
Also needed to know whether we get a breakdown of verbal scores for SC,CR and RC in official score report. So that I can know where I went wrong and where my scores fell. I have scheduled to appear for GMAT again on August 10th 2009. Now, I have decided to take a break and go on a holiday to India. After coming back on 14th April 2009, I need to start my preparation. So please give me some solid tips on improving on Verbal.
My main weakness is stamina, lack of concentration during verbal especially during RC section. CR is ok but I take sometimes 2.5 minutes for one CR. So timing is an issue. SC got improved a lot after going through Manhattan SC guide. But still I get 60-70% correct in SC.
So please advice on improving on Verbal. Will taking more practice tests help? Should I go through each and every question of OG again? Is princeton good for verbal. If anyone knows about princeton tests do let me know the name of the product so that i can order it. Where can i find more genuine practice tests to help me on pacing the test?
My failure in first attempt was mainly due to slow speed in verbal. I finished initial 18 questions properly and then was speeding on rest of questions giving very less time to each question may be less than a minute. So need some good strategies. Many thanks in advance.
