how to read passage about ART.

My background is in engineering and I am not native speaker of English. I can not understand passages of ART, PAINTER. any one can give an advice. Thank you

When you see a passage you don't understand well, it is helpful to make notes. The more you practice, the better you will get. ManhattanGmat has some very useful tips in their book.

I have same problem with science passages. All other passages I crack with little efforts, but as soon as I get one about science I am totally lost! Nothing helps! Tried maps, notes, reading slowly, paraphrasing,...

The book title is " Manhattan GMAT Reading Comprehension". Please note that Manhattan GMAT has books for each section of the GMAT.
