statement of purpose?

in my application for a MSF degree, it says write a statement of purpose for pursuing an MSF degree. can and should i title this "statement of purpose" and in no then what.

I don't think that's necessary. You could just start it off as a letter unless there's a stated format the school wishes you to follow.
