[spoiler]The answer is E: which is definitely the best choice here, but there is one problem i have in such sentences which begin with words like during etc....like E "During the 1950s, as part of their therapy,..... here pronoun " their does not have antecedent?? is this correct & when is it correct to have pronoun without antecedent?[/spoiler]

As long as there is a noun that clearly identifies the pronoun..

In this case "their" refers to noun "young polio victims".

i understand that it sounds as if the victims were helped to practice falling in 1950's: that the therapy has falling practice during these years while other practices in other years.
