I am wondering why the third statement is wrong?

There must be 7 houses sold below the median price, isn't it?

Yes. I too feel the same. As the 8th value is the media and hence there should be 7 houses < median and 7 houses > median.

The median need not be a unique value. The 8 cheapest houses could all be $130,000.
Here the median is 130,000 AND there are no houses under $130,000
