Examples to prove certain traits

by iamcste » Tue Feb 17, 2009 5:10 pm
Hi,

I am having trouble portraying certaîn traits in my essays-any pointers would help

1. Communication skills- Being a team lead, I often use these skills
But how to do I give a hint in the application about these.

should I talk about giving presentations, training novice team members...

Similarly, How do I hint about

Leadership, Motivated, Mature, proactive, Energetic, desire for intellectual growth, well rounded

Any pointers would be helpful. I hope I have put across my problem effectively.

Thanks

Dear iamcste,

The best way to demonstrate you possess certain skills are to write about experiences you have had where you have employed those skills successfully. So, if you have led a team to a successful outcome on a project, the reader should take away that you have effective leadership and teamwork skills. If giving a presentation was key to the project being a success, then your presentation skills will be highlighted. Thus select the examples you write about in your essays and talk about in your interviews wisely.

Good luck,
Lisa
