Profile Evaluation

by ziggyz07 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 11:23 am
I'm currently in the masters program at Washington University for architecture and am looking to do a dual MBA/March degree w/ Olin up the hill.

I just retook the gmat today with a score of 640 (q42, v36). My previous score was 530 from early December. My current GPA in the masters program is 3.74 and my undergraduate degree in architecture was 3.78. I went straight to graduate school from undergrad, so I don't have any work experience besides 4 previous summers of internships. I understand my gmat score could be higher but feel it is a very big improvement from my previous score.

Any thoughts on my situation?

Dear ziggyz07,

I think your GMAT score is competitive for Olin, which is a great program. If you haven't already, you should definitely connect with the admissions office and visit the program. In your application, be sure to convey a solid rationale for why you want to get your MBA and how it relates to your current masters program and career goals.

Best of luck,
Lisa
