A huge flying reptile that died out with the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago, the Quetzalcoatlus had a wingspan of 36 feet, believed to be the largest flying creature the world has ever seen.

Can someone explain why this is the answer?

All of the other answers refer to wingspan, not the quetzawhateverus.
The only option that describes the quetzawhateverus is answer C.

choosing A would be a dangling modifier. no good.
