hi lisa its me again.. sorry to bother you but .. i really needed to know this:

i was just filling up my application form of the wake forest university and came across this eligibility criteria for the school

Please list all work and military experience since college graduation. Do not include jobs held while a student in college. The work experience below should match that on your resume. Please conclude calculation of your work experience with August 1, 2009.
I understand that 18 months of full-time, post-graduate work experience (prior to August 1, 2009) is required in order to apply to the Full-time MBA program. I verify that I meet the minimum work experience requirement. (Exception: joint degree applicants are not required to meet the minimum work experience requirement.)

I have 15 months of full time work experience till date.. and intend to work for atleast 6 months more before i begin my mba programme. so how do i go about this?

Also i have 1 year of work ex but during my pre-graduate course.. out of which 3 months of work experience during summer was full time.. how to put this??

also i wanted to know since this college gives an option to write an optional essay should i write about why my quant score was less.. say i was nervous and counter it by giving proof or stating that my math was good in college exams and also stating that my mcom marks were low since i was working full time and did not get leave etc for my exams
Do i need to just state facts in this essay or does this also require hardcore editing like SOP's

btw il post my profile again
GMAT:640, V:41(92%) Q:37(57%)
Business Management Studies 67/100
MCOM: 42/100

15 months in capital markets and various capital markets, securites and derivative certification.

Dear Akash,

Work experience during your undergraduate studies does not count in the calculation of your months of professional work experience--even if it was full-time. Admissions reporting standards count professional work experience as being full-time after graduating with a bachelor's degree and a job that requires a bachelor's degree. So from what you posted, it looks like you will have almost 2 years of experience by August. Your work experience prior should go in a different section where you would list jobs held during your studies or on a part-time basis.

Whether or not to write the optional essay depends on if you feel you need to address your quantitative ability. If you do decide to write it, I would encourage you to focus on writing about what in your background demonstrates your quantitative ability versus giving excuses for your GMAT score and MCom grades. Schools are not interested in excuses--they want to know why your performance in business school will be better.

Good luck,
Lisa
